How often would you watch a 2 hour movie on battery power? Where are you at for that long without access to AC? Camping in the woods?:p OK, I jest, but come on. Doing anything CPU or GPU intensive is going to drain the battery quickly. I see lots of people playing video games at my uni. They are almost always plugged in at the time. And the price of Blu-ray drives? Who cares if they are expensive? There are obviously plenty of people willing to pay for them.
